Google Drive allows for so much collaboration. Students can work together remotely on stories, poetry, slide presentations, and spreadsheets. Forms are a great way to collect data. Forms has a built in section to research right from your document screen.

Tech 4 Learning software such as Pixie and Frames make project based learning easy. Pixie comes with many templates, and new custom templates can easily be made for students to create digital stories, maps, diagrams, and more. Frames is an animation program that can be great fro creating short videos.

Weebly is a web page creation program. Educator accounts have complete control over student content in a secure environment. Use it to create a webpage on a unit that was studied or as a portfolio to showcase student work and understanding throughout the year.

Wikis are an excellent collaborative tool to share knowledge. Set up the template for your class and have them contribute throughout the year so that by 4th quarter they have an excellent review site complete with attached files and links.

Webquests are older web tools but can still be very powerful learning tools. Students are given a task to perform that requires research on-line and a culminating project to show their understanding.
